Since I was 9 years old, I developed a self-loathing mentality to try and work harder to feel better about myself. I felt tremendous anxiety and depression, not knowing what it was, or what to do with it, and no one to talk to. I wrote in my 12 journals to express my emotions. From these journals, I have a clear view from a child’ perspective who struggled with low self-worth, anxiety, depression, paranoia, panic attacks, comparing to others, perfectionism, unrealistic expectations, victimizing, people pleasing, negative self-image, hopelessness, to name a few.

I understand first hand how many kids and teens feel today with social pressures and not having the tools to regulate emotions. I have created my music therapy sessions based on what I needed as a child and teenager to develop self-love and resiliency to work through any situation or emotions, but didn’t have the tools. Now, I am able to help with what I have learned sharing in a fun, safe and accessible way of learning through music.
